Kana worriedly looked around. "Uh, guys? Where are you? We're supposed to meet up here now!" Nobody answered her. She began to breathe heavily. "Guys, please! Where are you? It's time to go! Please! Please..." They had to be okay, they all knew what they were doing, right? Right? They were all safe, just a bit late, and they'd  all meet up and share supplies and she wouldn't be left alone and everything would continue to be fine and-

Suddenly, a loud mechanical sound interrupted her worrying and gave her something new to worry about. One of the machines next to her, which she was positive had been broken, whirred to life. "AHH!" Kana leapt away, drawing her weapon, hoping with all her soul it wasn't about to animate and attack her. But it stayed there, whirring away. And then another nearby machine turned on. And another. And another. And soon, to her terror, yet also amazement, the factory was filled with lights, humming, and movement. Belts began pulling various scrap metal along, reshaping them in a way they must have done before, and sending them off to be washed. Kana stared, almost mesmerized by the display, before realizing how much danger everyone was in. "GUYS! WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW! THE- AHH!" Kana almost fell over as the floor beneath her began to move like the conveyor belts. She tried to get off, but her feet were stuck to the belt as it pulled her towards one of the machines. "NO! GET ME OUT OF THIS! PLEASE! HELP ME! CANDACE! SASHA! JACKIE! PLEASE!" A mechanical humming filled her head. It was soothing, yet also oddly familiar... Like words... In a voice that wasn't a voice yet was so undeniably recognizable... "We are helping you, Kana... You're gonna become something so much more..."

Kana had no idea what to do. "JACKIE?! IS THAT... WHAT?! WHAT'S HAPPENING?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!" She began to panic as she was led towards ever more bizarre machines, twisting into existence out of nowhere. Her body began to shake, but as she passed under a spray of liquid, all of that suddenly melted away. All her stress and panic was gently washed away, and sge found herself standing limply with a dazed smile on her face. "...Whah...? Feel... funny..." A calm, reassuring voice washed through her head. "Shhh, don't worry. I'll make sure everything goes smoothly..." Kana smiled sleepily, her mind dim and relaxed, and she let the belt carry her forward.

The belt brought Kana higher and higher, up to the top of the factory. Another spray of water covered her body, and she felt herself begin to melt into a warm, comfortable sludge. It was funny... She'd always had such a fear of being melted alive, but this wasn't painful at all... It just felt like taking a nice, comfy nap curled up in a blanket... The belt carefully poured her into a giant metal mold, ensuring not a drop was wasted. She floated in the dark, warm hole as another voice, so much more powerful than the other two, and one she always loved hearing, spoke to her. "You will be my first drone. Molded in my shape to achieve my will. And you will help me make others like you." Kana smiled blissfully. "Yes... Candace..." The Factory smiled. "The process will begin now. Enjoy it."

The eyes of the mold began to glow, and Kana's mind was filled with the hypnotic light. All of her thoughts, memories, and personality started to disintegrate under the powerful light, but she didn't mind. It felt absolutely wonderful... She never liked herself much anyway, and becoming like her mentor was something she'd always dreamed about... She'd just never pictured it being this literal... The Factory's thoughts filled her, making her into a perfect extension of its will, as her body was combined with the processed scrap metal. Every bit of humanity was removed, and soon a beautiful drone was removed from the mold, perfect in every way.

The drone smiled happily. Her body was smooth, shiny, and metallic, resembling a flawless rendition of the Factory's former human body. She walked out of the factory into the world outside, looking upon it with anticipation. Her eyes flashed hypnotically, and her chest emitted a soothing hum. She couldn't wait to help make everyone else just like her! And then, the world would be good again. She was the first of a new race of perfect beings destined to spread all over the earth... All thanks to the Factory.
